The Scout 105G power tiller is designed for agricultural work on household plots. The scooter is equipped with a 168FB engine with overhead valve arrangement. The engine starts even at minus temperatures. Fuel consumption is up to 900 g/hour at 80% load. Easy starting is ensured not only by the valve arrangement, but also by the presence of an air damper.
The gearbox with oil bath disk clutch is a reliable design for medium-weight agricultural machines. The engine oil sump capacity is 1.7 liters. Recommended oil types for the gearbox: transmission semi-synthetic oil, for the engine - semi-synthetic oil 10W40. When operating with these types of oils, the motoblock starts easily even at minus temperatures, and will not fail during prolonged operation in summer time.
Correct use is the key to long service life
A new power tiller must be run-in. This applies to the engine and gearbox, i.e. all components of the power tiller. Running-in takes place for 20-25 minutes with a variable number of revolutions (from maximum to minimum and back again). The first two series are made at idle speed (no load). During the following ones, it is desirable to work in conjunction with the gearbox, i.e. work at all speeds (with the cutter and with the wheels). After three hours of work in this mode it is recommended to change the oil in the engine. Oil in the gearbox is changed once a year (recommended), the first time after the first working season. It is recommended to use gasoline with octane number from 92 to 95 without additional additives.
